- Iran offered scholarships to students from universities in the US and Europe who were facing expulsion for participating in anti-war and pro-Palestinian protests. “Students and even professors who have been expelled or threatened with expulsion can continue their studies” in Tehran, said Iran’s Shiraz University.
The move came after authorities arrested over 1,200 students at universities across the US for urging an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Iran’s offer followed Columbia University, the epicentre of pro-Gaza encampments, threatening to expel the protesting students. The past week and a half saw students put on probation by other leading institutions where anti-war protests had spread.

Iran universities and schools are 2nd to none in the world. Top notch schools. The housing and food typically included. Lessons are in English and most Iranians speak some level of English

The standard of education in Iran is much higher than most imagine. Look up scientific papers in any field in quality journals and there are high chances you'll see an Iranian author in almost every one.

Death penalty for his protest songs concerning Iran's societal issues and the policies of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is it fair? Shame on all these students.
To prove a point to the Western Leaders, Iran may treat the students who accept the offer like celebrities. You have to understand the geopolitics of influence. Western Leaders cannot afford to lose the trust and confidence of their young people. They are the future. They must listen to the young people.
